Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and maintenance for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and well-being.
- Perform routine animal husbandry tasks such as grooming, hoof trimming, and administering medication or vaccinations.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, mowers, and irrigation systems.
- Repair and maintain fences, gates, and other structures on the ranch.
- Assist with planting, growing, and harvesting crops or maintaining a garden.
- Perform basic math calculations for measuring feed quantities or mixing fertilizers.
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders or skid steers for various tasks around the ranch.
- Use hand tools to perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment or structures.
- Assist with the transportation of livestock or farm products as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in animal care or ranching is preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on farm equipment.
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for measuring feed quantities or mixing fertilizers.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
